Petition " Public air law - barrier freedom in the air traffic"
In the meanwhile flying is so normal as car- and; train driving - for nearly all humans in Europe. Not so for humans with mobility restrictions. So this person's group do not have a chance to visit a toilet on short and medium range flights even after the entry into the flight regulation of the European Union from July 2008.
European airlines - under these also the German Lufthansa - deny mobility-reduced passengers till today the entrance to a toilet. Two or three hours, sometimes even longer they are expected to visit no toilet. Who answers the question of the Stewarts " Do you have to visit a toilet in this time? " with " Yes", can go directly leave the Plane. He utterly doesnt get transported.
Also with announcements before airlines deny having a so-called on-board wheelchair on board. This would make the transfer from the seat to the toilet possible. So answers the German Lufthansa for example in an email of 9th Januar 2008 laconic: "Indeed unfortunately even with advanced notification its not possible to supply an on-board wheelchair on short-distance flights" and cynical insure further " the fact that we do everything for it so that your journeys flow smoothly". Until today the German Lufthansa refuses a clear promise that it makes if necessary an on-board wheelchair available.

A flight, on which several hours no toilet can be used, cannot run "unobstructed" and misses central needs of passengers. Imagine to be stucked three hours in an elevator - that´s about the time, that the German and European airlines expect their mobility-reduced passengers to use no toilet.
With this background I submitted a petition to the German Federal Parliament, which was now is published and has a six weeks subscription period (till 19th December 2008).
Here you can sign (only in German) the petition!

Dementia and civil society - a disputation
Today dementia still is brought up for discussion under the aspect by illness. Therefore we understand the concerned as „a dementia patient “and regard the medical profession and care forces as primarily „responsible “person's group.
The authors point out another perspective: They regard the dementia from a civilian-social point of view. In the center thereby the role of humans with dementia is located as citizens of a community. The book invites to a discussion about „a dementia-friendly “community and gives suggestions for change processes on local level.
